OUR SCIENCE
NeuraClick’s NuClickTM platform uses AI/ML-powered macrocyclic chemistry to turn the body’s peptide-receptor networks into circuit-targeted, durable therapies for mental health and metabolism.
OUR TECHNOLOGY
Hydrocarbon-stapling
1. Double chain peptide
-
- Costly synthesis
- Poor delivery across the brain
2. Single B-chain peptide
-
- Poor binding & potency
- Rapid metabolism
3. Stapled peptide
- High-affinity binding & potency
- High stability
- High specificity
- Inexpensive synthesis
- Highly amenable for cellular uptake
A stapled peptide is a modified peptide (peptidomimetic), typically in an alpha-helical conformation, that is constrained by a synthetic brace (“staple”). The staple is formed by a covalent linkage (”click”) between two amino acid side-chains, forming a peptide macrocycle.
Stapled peptide offer enhanced stability, cellular permeability, superior binding affinity and potency through the protein-protein interactions, present varied functionalities encompassing agonism, antagonism, dual-agonism, and exhibit potential in the treatment of variety of central and peripheral disorders.
