Subhi Marwari, PhD
Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Subhi is the founder and CEO of NeuraClick, where she invented the company’s AI and click-chemistry platform for designing next-generation neuropeptides. Her mission is personal: after watching her sister’s health unravel under the weight of stress, depression, and obesity, she set out to build therapies that genuinely improve mental health and whole-body well-being.
With over two decades in pharma, biotech, and academia, Subhi has led five CNS drug programs to the clinic and co-founded two biotech startups. Her pioneering work in neurotherapeutics and CNS drug delivery has made her an inventor on multiple patents, with publications in PNAS, British Journal of Pharmacology, Advanced Science, and Neuropsychopharmacology.
She earned her PhD in Pharmacology from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Scripps Research Institute on innovative opioid delivery. She trained in clinical psychiatry at SUNY Upstate Medical University, bridging laboratory discoveries with the realities of patient care.
Previously a Senior Investigator at GEMMA Biotherapeutics (formerly the UPenn Gene Therapy Program), she received UPenn’s prestigious Conscientious Investigator Award for inventing a robotic neurosurgery technique that accelerated preclinical CNS research and enabled earlier de-risking of therapeutic assets. A former Entrepreneur-in-Residence at BLOCK71, the renowned NUS Enterprise startup hub and a Wharton Executive Program alumna, she also serves as Vice President of Lions Club International, advancing STEM access for underserved girls in rural India.
